Making of Neela Vanam - Manmadha Ambu | How Neela Vanam song made?

KamalaHassan's much awaited Manmadha Ambu film was released on 23rd December 2010 all over the world. The general review about the film was good, but not great as Panchathanthiram.

One positive thing about the film was the technical aspects which is world class and once again proved why technicians from Tamil Film Industry are the best in the country.

Another important aspect of the film is the song called "NEELA VANAM..." and how it was shot in a reverse way. But the key part which raised questions among the film fans was that how the voice alone was in forward mode, when the scenes move back.

On the New Year 2011 special function Kamal and the crew members discussed about this song and how it was shot. Here are the key aspects of that discussion.

--> The song was shot for more than 10 days.

--> Both the Camera Man and the director said that their job was very easy

--> They also revealed that Kamal was the key person for the success of that song as he took the initiative

--> The idea was planned to take in reverse, but the special feature of the song i.e voice moving forward was the key and the entire effort was made by Kamal.

--> Kamal also said that he has to sing the direction in reverse was so that the song appears as expected.

--> For example Kamal has to show the voice expression as "Manav Aleen....." for bringing the expression "Neela Vanam" i,e he has to show voice expression in revers way so that the voice appears forward when everything else goes reverse.

--> Kamal also mentioned that it was funny while shooting the song as he has to sing it in reverse.

--> If you clearly watch the song, you can clearly see that there will not be sync in voice at some place in the song.But never mind, as it was a sincere effort by the Universal Hero and team.

I am sure that you would have tried this by now and naturally this is difficult for all and especially to enact like this for the entire song along with other actions like driving,dance ( which appears in the film) will be a very tough job.
