Director Vasanthabalan's Angadi Theru,is not only the best Tamil movie of 2010, but it can also be the best Indian movie of the year. It may have lost to Peepli live in the category of Indian submission to Oscars, but has won the hearts of Millions of people.

Angadi Theru lost to Peepli Live by a small margin for India's entry for Oscars in the best foreign language category.The film was also dubbed in Telugu as "Shopping Mall" Tamil and succeeded well with lot of praises by film critics.

2) Ayirathil Oruvan(One Man in Thousand)

Set up in 1279 AD, this Selvaraghavan's Adventurous Historical film, took Tamil Film industry to the best level and has proved once again why Tamil Film industry is the best in India, w.r.t to technical aspects and extra ordinary story about the Chola Dynasty.

Parthiban has done a superb job and adding to this Music also plays a great role along with cinematography.

The role of Karthi may be small, but he has done his job superbly. Selva may try for the second part of this film also after its great success.

3)Nandalala

A perfect film for Award platform. Even though this is a remake of foreign film, Myskin has added Indian flavor and once again this has proved the standard of Tamil films over Bolywood. This is a journey of a Kid in search of his mother and you will enjoy this slow journey.

4) Madaraspattinam(Madras town)

This is a pre historic Indian/British Love story and full credits to Vijay - the director for a great film. Settings in this film deserves an award.This has taken Arya's film market to another level and more importantly people will except more from Vijay

5) Myna

This is a beautiful Love story directed by Prabu Soloman, with lot of adventure, fun and sorrow. Kudos to the director for excellent location, and also to the artists for great performance.

This will definitely be a turning point for Prabu Solomon and as a result of this expectations will be high for his next film.

6) Kalavani(Stealer)

This is indeed a surprise yet deserved entry in the list and it has overtaken the Highest Grossing Indian Film Endhiran.Vimal, from the Pasanga film has done a great job and this is full time entertainer and will make you laugh throughout. Kalavani is full of fun.

7)Ravanan

The best director of Indian film industry, Maniratnam's Ravanan didn't perform well at the box office, yet won many International awards for Mani's genius Work. loosely based on the epic story, the great camera work in this film gives a pleasing view to the audiences.

8)Endhiran(Robot)

Asia's Biggest Budget film and also the highest grosser in the country, Endhiran is the beginning of India's competition to Hollywood.Shanka's Genius, Thalaivar's acting and a great team work, made Endhiran a full time entertainer.Thalaiva you always rock.....

9) Vinaithandi Varuvaya(Will you cross the sky and come for me?)

This is best know for its music, thanks to Oscar Winner, AR Rahman. This is a love story directed by Gautam, starring Simbu and Trisha, and the core of the film is music.

10)Boss engira Baskaran(Boss @ Baskaran)

Starring Arya and Nayanthara this is a full length comedy film of the year, next to Kalavani. After SMS(Siva Manasula Sakthi), the director Rajesh has once again succeeded in entertaining the people.
